 Bernard "Bernie" M.
Figy Died May 21, 2006. He was born on February 24, 1941 in
Adrian, MI, son of George and Maxine (Welch) Figy. He was a
graduate of Eastern High School. Self-employed for many years
in the Lansing area. In recent years he worked with the National
Council on Alcoholism in Lansing. He was preceded in death
by his father, George and brother, Gary. He is survived by
his loving partner of almost thirty years, Jerry; his mother,
Maxine Figy of Lansing; two brothers, Bob (Bobbie) Figy of
Kurtistown, HI, John (Ivonete) Figy of Fortaleza, Brazil; two
sisters, Patty (Dan) Hearne of Payson, AZ, Joie Bennett of
Lansing; many nieces, nephews, several other extended family
members; and the AA community. Memorial services will be
held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at the Alano Club
East, 220 S. Howard Street, Lansing. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to the Mother Teresa House,
P.O. Box 13004, Lansing, MI 48901 in memory of Bernie. Arrangements
